Reservation Information

How to Reserve Your Scout Badge/Patch Program:

1. E-Mail us, use our contact form or call 814-643-0268 to check available dates and request the registration forms for the badge/beltloop&pin/patch program of your choice.

2. Suggested minimum number of persons (Adults & Scouts) is 20, however the choice is yours as long as minimum fees are met (except pre-scheduled Webelos dates, Boy Scout Camporee, Girl Scout Council sponsored programs, and Lincoln Caverns' Girl Scout Event Days - no minimums apply).

3. A $50.00 deposit PER BADGE/PATCH per group of up to 30 persons - for over 30 participants an additional deposit is required (plus $25.00/night deposit for overnights - indoor lodging or primitive camping) to reserve your date. You may mail your deposit or reserve by phone or fax with a credit card.

4. You will receive a deposit receipt and 'badge/patch Program Fact Sheet' following receipt of your deposit PLUS overnight/camping guidelines if spending the night at Lincoln Caverns.

5. Balance is due with a complete roster and must be received by Lincoln Caverns TWO WEEKS PRIOR to your event date.

6. A confirmation and schedule will be sent via e-mail or USPS following receipt of payment in full.

7. For Lincoln Caverns' pre-scheduled, no-minimum GIRL SCOUT BROWNIE & JUNIOR EVENT PROGRAMS, CUB SCOUT GEOLOGY BELT LOOP/PIN, and WEBELOS GEOLOGIST BADGE DAYS registration is on a first-come/first-serve basis, therefore payment in full is required with your registration.

8. For Lincoln Caverns' pre-scheduled OLDER GIRL SCOUT EVENTS and BOY SCOUT CAMPOREES a per person deposit is required to reserve, with balance due two weeks prior to the event. 

Program Rates can be found by checking the program information files found in the Scout Leader Area.

Lodging Options

  • INDOOR LODGING:  Spend the night "slumber party style" upstairs in our Learning Center, plus an additional room downstairs for more people.  Restrooms are located downstairs in the Visitor Center and refridgeration is available upstairs.  No showers or cooking facilities provided, however local eating establishments are close-by and lunches can be pre-ordered for your convenience.  $5.00/person (minimum $100/group)
  • PRIMITIVE CAMPING:  Secluded group 'clusters' in the woods atop Warrior Ridge.  Each cluster features picnic tables, trash barrels, fire rings, water for putting out fires, and port-a-johns.  Firewood is available for a small fee.  Drinking water must be transported from Lincoln Caverns' Visitor Center.  $2.50/person (minimum $50/group)

Lunch Options

  • DOMINO'S PIZZA LUNCH: Pre-order/pre-pay $4.50/person (for all program participants) and Lincoln Caverns will order and serve each of your group members 2 slices of one topping Domino's Pizza with applesauce and your choice of soda or water during your lunch break. We even provide the plates & napkins!
  • ITALIAN SUB LUNCH: Pre-order/pre-pay $6.50/person (for all program participants) and Lincoln Caverns will order and serve each of your group members an OIP Italian Sub, and a bag of chips, with your choice of soda or water during your lunch break. Plates & napkins are provided.
  • HOT DOG LUNCH: Pre-order/Pre-pay $3.50/person (for all program participants) and Lincoln Caverns will order and serve each of your group members 2 hot dogs, and bag of chips, with your choice of soda or water during your lunch break.  Plates & napkins are provided.

Additional Activities and Optional Purchases

  • PANNING FOR GEMS: $4.50/Small Bag,  $7.00/Large Bag, or $8.00/Fossil Bag, advance purchase, when ordering a minimum of one bag (either size) per Scout.
  • KIDS CAVE CRAWL: for Junior Girl Scouts, Webelos & siblings ages 12 & under. Suit up with helmet, light, and kneepads - just like a real spelunker and explore Lincoln Caverns' brand new simulated cave! $3.50/child, advance purchase, when reserving for each child registered with badge/patch program. (included with Junior Cave Explorer Patch Program)
  • LINCOLN CAVERNS PATCHES: $2.00 per patch, advance purchase, when ordering a minimum of one patch per Scout.
  • SCOUT DAY T-SHIRTS:  Remember your scouting adventure with a shirt designed especially for scouts!  Lincoln Caverns' Scout Day T-Shirts are available for $10 each (advance purchase with registration only) when purchasing a minimum of one for each scout registered.
